Phoebe + Evie

In the first attempt, neither one looks very comfortable with what Mommy and Daddy are trying to accomplish. That's J's hand in the pic.

In the second attempt, Evie shows off how she's already learning to look at the camera. She's just so smart. Phoebe, on the other hand, is looking for an escape route.
Phoebe: "I'm outta here." Evie: "Daddy, rescue me!"

Well, we tried. Baby + dog photos are tricky.

  1. Aw!! Love it!! Our dog + baby photos that actually turn out are few and far between!

  2. We only have dog + baby pictures once a year at Christmas time. Too much hassel otherwise! (And it does not get better with age until they are quite a bit older than say, 3.)

PS- Wanna Christmas card? I have a TON left over and thought you might want one! Email me your address and I'll send it out.

  3. They are so cute!! In the first pic, they both kinda look like, "What the heck?" lol The right one would make an adorable Christmas card pic (if you haven't done one already).

  4. New with SITS....I am taking the afternoon to read new blogs. I hope you do not mind me stopping by. Feel free to check out my blog. I am having a give-a-way *December 1 post*....that will end on Monday. Three winners! :D

Outside of 100's of other good reasons to join SITS...I found someone like you. I need to hear, experience and share as many stories as I can about adoption. Only, we have not started the process. I look forward to following your blog. I am so excited about this.

  6. You did a commendable job photographing two subject who have yet to learn the meaning of the words, "Say cheese!"

    Very cute.

  7. Dearest Phoebe:

I completely understand your frustration at the indignity you have suffered. We are not props, afterall, to provide furry, cute backdrops to their drooling mini-people (who, incidentally, always smell like something's not right.) We are autonomous beings, well-respected at one point in humanity's history for being creatures of accomplishment. But, now---well, since we don't have sleds to pull or vermin to hunt, this is what it's come to: photo ops.

You can do nothing but accept this, my friend. You jumped off the couch this time, but they will just keep doing it until you give in and pretend you like it. It's best to just give up early on, at least if you want them to keep the good treats coming.

    Yours in Humility,
    Delia
