That is her Sacred Grandma Duty. We have a picture of my Grandma coming to visit us when we were little and you could not see the carpet for the presents.
We vowed not to get G any presents last year for his first Christmas (knowing he'd be spoiled silly by everyone we know.) It was a smart move on our part given all the stuff he was given (and we were given for him.) This year, I bought a bunch of toys from Toys-r-us on a great sale...figuring there were things I really wanted to get for him. I thought he would also be less spoiled this year by others. Bad move on my part. He still hasn't opened half of his gifts under the tree and Christmas was 4 days ago. He just went into overload. So next year, we will only be getting him a couple small items at most. We are just fortunate and our friends and family adore him and continue to spoil him. So, long story short....you guys are likely fortunate (financially) and can skip buying Evie a ton of gifts for the next couple years. For us, if this keeps up, we have to find a bigger house. lol
WOW, how much of a grin did Grandma have on her face when she brought all those wonderful presents in the house? What a wonderful Grandma for Evie to have, that's awesome!
In regards to your comment on my blog about the pie crusts: they taste better then MINE since I'm not very good at them as of YET. My best friend's pie crusts are WAY better. They are a lot more flaky and buttery. Thank you for your comment.
I wish you and your beautiful family a happy New Year. hugs, -D
