Injured

So, my wrist hurts. A lot. I don't know what I did to it, but it hurts to burp Evie, pick her up, type, and more. I'm going to try to get to the doctor tomorrow because it's hard to be a mom with sharp pains in my wrist! So I'm going to be scarce and terse for awhile. J thinks I have a carpal tunnel type of injury from too much blogging and burping :) We'll see what the doctor says. J is going out shopping for a new desk for me tomorrow because the one I sit at when I am at my computer is a student desk (think: too shallow for a normal monitor, drawer instead of keyboard tray, too low for an office chair) and so my keyboard & mouse setup is extremely non-ergonomic. I usually type with my keyboard in my lap and my mouse and mousepad sit on top of the computer tower next to my desk. I know, I know, I was asking for carpal tunnel. Anyhow, I'll leave you with this: Evie napped well yesterday and today; because I didn't even try to put her in her crib. Yes, I've given up for now. We're traveling back to San Antonio in a little over a week because J has a conference there, so it's another chance for us to see my parents. Evie's nap schedule will be thrown off then anyhow, so I'm deciding not to push the issue anymore. Yes, it's an excuse; Evie won the battle. But I will win the war! Maybe.

  3. Get two to three lb. hand weights or like a bottle of water (emptied) filled with coins and lift your wrists up and down and rotate. Since I write for a living, that helps mine.

  4. Hope your appointment goes well today and it's just a strain or something.
