Before and After

When I woke up this morning my wrist still hurt but it isn't the sharp pain that it was yesterday, so I'm trying to rest it over the weekend and if it's still bad on Monday then I'll call the doctor, I promise. :)

So if I'm resting my wrist, why am I blogging? Now I have an ergonomic desk and a chair with armrests!

My desk before:

My desk now:

It's lovely. I even found a way to keep my old desk in use (I have sentimental ties to it; I've had it since high school and have clear memories of doing my math homework at it)...it's been moved into the TV room and turned into a scrapbooking desk. Now I don't have to spread my scrapbooking all over the dining room. So, if any of you would like to drop by for dinner, feel free. :)

  1. I like the new desk area and hope it helps with the wrist. I probably should look at my desk area too since I spend way too much time online :) Stopping by from SITS.

  2. Yay for the new desk! It looks nice. I know what you mean about the desk. My mom has a desk since she's was young that my grandfather restored. It was used by my mom, my sister and me and hopefully my kids will use it too.

  3. Nice! Good idea about reusing the old desk. Sorry about your wrist...I'm trying to catch up, so I'll have to read on what happened!

  4. I love the new desk! Wanna trade me for the old kitchen table I use? I hope it resolves the pain you;re having. Personally, I had some nasty wrist pain that went away once I realized I was holding Snippet all wrong while feeding him. Ant chance your wrist hurts more during Evie's mealtimes?

What" the pink thing on your desks? A cool lamp?

  5. Geez, sorry for all the typos in my comment above. Am typing one-handed...

  6. +Deanna: I'm impressed you use capitals typing one-handed! :) These days I just read blogs while holding Evie and then go back and comment when she's sleeping, since she hates for me to do anythin while I'm holding her. Well, my wrist is feeling better and I haven't changed how I'm holding Evie, so it probably wasn't that, but I can see where that would be an issue with breastfeeding. I was always intimidated by all of the diagrams of how to hold a baby while breastfeeding and how complicated it seemed. When it came down to it, though, holding Evie was the least of my worries when I was trying to bfeed her at the beginning :( Anyhow, I digress. The pink thing on my desk is like a tiny pop-up hamper and it's meant to hold paper trash while I'm scrapbooking. I put it on my desk because if I had a trashcan on the floor, Apollo would tip it over every day! :)
