Diagnosis?

Here is the rash I was talking about. Is it enough to call the pediatrician about, or just wait until my dad (a doc) comes on Friday and he can look at it?

  1. One of my twins had the exact same thing. It happened to be the worst on the day we went for a check up and the doc said it was just a rash. She asked me to wash him in Head and Shoulders with every other bath and it went away within 2 weeks. If you're worried though, call your doc! That's what they are there for.

  2. I tend to err on the side of caution. I'd call the doc and just have it checked for my peace of mind. If you're not too worried and she seems fine in every other respect, wait for your dad . . . Just do what makes you breathe a little easier and sleep better. there's nothing worse then worrying or stewing.

  3. Thanks to Safire and to the friends who sent me e-mails and facebook messages about this! I'm going to take all of the advice (Aveeno lotion, baby medicated shampoo) and not worry about it too much. It doesn't seem to bother her, so that's a relief.

  4. I'm curious---how does dandruff shampoo effect a rash?

  5. I would call the ped and get it checked out. Couldn't hurt and they may have a theory we haven't thought of yet.
